Striker
Although most of his career was spent in local non-league football, Chris played a season for Chester in the football league before drifting into non-league. With Tranmere short of numbers when John King returned in 1987, he found himself thrust into the team as Rovers battled to stay in the football league. Signed as a non-contract player while still working for Vauxhalls in Ellesmere Port.
He played a part in the last 3 games of the 1986-87 season, including the Exeter win that kept us up. He didn't return for the next season but played at a number of non-league clubs over the next decade including Stafford Rangers, Macclesfield and Marine.
